4-H is an organization dedicated to preparing young people for their future. 4-H stands for head, heart, hands and health. The 4-H pledge describes our commitment.
My HEAD to clearer thinking, My HEART to greater loyalty, My HANDS to larger service, My HEALTH to better living, For my Club, my Community and My Country.
4-H provides young people with an opportunity to learn how to become productive, self-assured adults who can make their community a good place in which to live.
This is learned through project work, experiences with their 4-H club members and leaders and their participation in district, regional and even provincial programs.
4-H clubs are great places to gain knowledge and leadership skills as well as practice citizenship skills.
Projects in the Shamrock 4-H Club:
We always welcome new members and are looking for new leaders. Leaders are adults that have skills that they can teach to others. In the past, we have had Llama, Dog, Foods, Lamb, Goat, Cavy and Beef projects.
The projects we offer depend on the leaders we have available. Possibilities include: Small engine, Archery, and Outdoor Skills/Hiking. Assistant leaders in any of our existing projects are welcome as well.
