Maybe you grow your favourite veggies, you are a flower lover, or want to race a zucchini. This is your chance to win a ribbon and bragging rights!
Check for the categories and judging standards, and bring your entries of flowers, fruits, vegetables, preserves, baking, crafts, and arts to the exhibition hall Friday evening in the Thornhill Community Centre.
50 cents per entry (children’s entry charge max. $3). Check back Saturday morning for the winners!
Admission: $5 Adults. Under 12 Free. $10 Family Pass.

Growers! Flower lovers! Crafters and artists! See the growing talent our community has and come see who’s entered what. Categories include flowers, fruit, vegetables, preserves, baking, brewing, home arts and crafts, and many children’s categories. Bragging rights for winners in the Terrace Standard, after the Fair.

Petting Zoo 11:00 am to 3:00 pm
Danna and friends will be sharing their critters in the 4-H barn for children to get up close to, and to pet. Petunia the pig will be back with a donkey, a calf and miniature horse. A Fall Fair favourite!
Zucchini Race 1:00 pm (entry by 12:30 pm)
Come to the Tennis courts to see whose Zuke can go the fastest! The furthest! Plus you’ll get to vote for the zucchini that is best decorated. For details on entering, check the Judging Standards. Entries may be submitted as late as a half-hour before the racing begins (1:00 pm) Prizes for Fastest, Furthest, Best-Decorated.

Remote Control Club Demo
Thornhill Volunteer Fire Dept. Open House -at the Fire hall 10:00 am - 1:00pm
Hall and truck tours: Come to check out the fire hall and fire trucks guided by a fire department member.
Junior Firefighter Challenge: Kids, ages 4 to 7, try your hand at a firefighters combat challenge! The obstacle course consists of a hose carry, dummy drag, hammer strike, and target practice. Prize for completing the course!
Life safety Information available to families. September is a great time to check your family safety plans.
Ever thought that you might like a challenge? Maybe you would make a great firefighter! Recruitment information will be available.
12:00 noon Only - Live Fire Demonstration. Two mini-structures will be burned to show the difference between our old system of extinguishment (water) vs our new system (compressed air foam). This will be held in the parking lot of the hall for better viewing.
